Walker Sanders (All Around Helper)
Walker takes good care of his parents, Richard and Molly, regularly tests our maple syrup on pancakes for quality assurance, and helps feed the pigs.
Richard Sanders (Farm Manager)
The farm is managed by Richard Sanders. Richard lives on the farm with his wife, Molly Nicholie and their son, Walker. Richard has a Master's Degree in Forestry, and prior to managing the farm, managed a 600-acre forest for Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC.
Molly Nicholie (Farm Manager Support)
Molly Nicholie is married to Richard and is a huge help and resource on the farm. Molly also works for the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project, in farm-to-school and farm-to-hospital development and education.
John & Elizabeth Swann (Owners)
John and Liz Swann own Maple Creek Farm. Liz grew up working on her family's farm and they met in John's garden in 1979. John spends most of his time at Greenlife Grocery in nearby Asheville, NC, which they co-own, and where they live.
